The Evolutionaries were gathered together from the remote reaches of the galaxy to form a force to fight Chaos.
The characters were gathered from across the universe, typical of their individual species, and altered by being given the Evolutionary Gift. The Evolutionary Gift adapts them to the immediate environment in emergencies, or can adjust their genetic makeup to make them resemble the indigenous species of the planet they are on. Their founder appears distant, and may very well have ulterior motives for the group's formation as the story progresses.
They are a diverse grouping of characters, some with other agendas who are just staying momentarily for the ride.
